I have the opportunity to grab a Turbo400 tranny that was mated to a buick 76' 455 engine. BOP pattern. What all do I need to do to put this in a low 10sec GN(internally speaking). The tranny is completely stock. I have 3.90 gears, T72BB turbo, 83lb inj & the Fast system. I want to put a transbrake on this tranny aswell as a good stall converter. What should I expect to spend for reliability. I don't want to break the bank on this tranny, but I don't want to play it again with more feelings either. Any help would be greatly appricated.

Use a Torrington bearing in the rear instead of the stock thrust,
check the reaction carrier for wear, if using a 'brake find an early reaction carrier with the sprag type element, buy a Ford E4OD HD sprag assembly to use in it.
Use an early direct drum or 4L80 drum and a 34 element intermediate sprag.
Leave center seal out of direct drum to dual feed, you'll need to plug the reverse exhaust passage. if using BRAKE it'll have instructions for this.
Use 4 4L80 intermediate clutches.
I would use Alto reds everywhere else but the smooth Borg will also work.
Setup endplay onthe tight side.
Get pump to gear clearanc down to .001".
Use 200 cup plugs on the center support.
Setup the low/reverse band clearance to about .060"
Teflon seals..

About it.

I am freshining a 400 with brake i got from someone and its dual fed but there is no plugs in the r circuit of the center support
