Turbo 400 swap

Thinking about going with a turbo 400 trans have a few questions 1st can a turbo 400 trans shift automatic or you have to shift it manually? where there any years or vehicles that had lower 1st gear ratios? and what is the connection with thrust bearing wear and turbo 400 all about ?

The trans can be an automatic shift.The ratios are all the same in production,but not in the aftermarket.You can go higher and lower depending on the application.The thrust bearing issue is real if the pump isnt modified but we are all familiar with the simplicity of this mod.

Chris what needs to be done to make it shift automaticly as I am still debating on fixing my 200r4 or going to a Turbo 400 and if I can get it to shift automaticly that would almost seal the deal as I can really live without the OD .

Install mechanical modulator on the trans.Read up on it here www.CKPerformance.com
