Question if I switch to a turbo 400 with a reverse manual valvebody and transbrake do I need to re tune the xfi for the 400 transmission setup ? Thanks

You become the "computer" for the TH400!

You release the trans brake and you decide when to shift. :)

There are other things you may want to consider with the TH400 and electric Trans brake used with XFI such as Trans brake control, Creep features, and Clutch Flag indications for logging.
AG.

any change in converter and gearing will change the way the car loads will change the rpm vs boost line that you have now and you will be manually shifting possibly running up into rpm ranges (due to late shifting) you may not have been with a 2004r , so you will most likely need to tweak the tune .
log and replay over the ve table (hide dash ) follow the bubble on the line and correct as needed to minimize correction
