Turbo Insulation Kit

Has anyone tried a turbine insulation blanket (Weber sells them).Do they cause large amounts of rust on the turbine housing?

I've had a DEI turbo blanket on my car for about a month now( I think the same one you reference from weber). For those without a turbo shield, It really looks a lot neater as raw turbine housings eventually develop a rusty scale anyway. Besides that you can touch it with the car running which tells me its keeping a lot of heat in the housing and out of the engine compartment. Not sure if the blanket will speed up the corrosion process or not but so far I love it.

Turbine blankets. Wouldn't that increase the likely hood of oil coking in the center cartridge....if you don't do warm down procedures?
