Turbo Regal and Grand National racer Chuck Leeper fired a huge shot on his final shot Thursday. The Grand National/Pro Street pioneer carded only a 1.06 sixty-foot, but made up the difference on the second-half with a 6.269, 239.70…yes …you read right 239.70.
Now that is one fast BRICK!

Mike Moran is flying, but he has Toronto Canadas Joe Dasilva knocking on his door step. Last weekend at Fun Ford during testing Joe went 6.39 @ 212mph lifting. He was also doing 1/8th mile runs and hook a .9 sixty foot and went 180mph in the 8th. Still ironing out the bugs in his new combo. Joe is now Pro 5.0's fastest, beating Chuck Samuels record of 6.47 @ 218mph. Should be one hell of a year for Joe

Yeah I heard that DaSilva ran 186mph in the 1/8th on one tuning pass, but didn't run faster than 219 in the 1/4..... Sounds like he's sandbagging if you ask me

The track wasn't there for him so he had to take power out of the car in order to make a full pass. He said he was getting too much tire shake so he turned down the boost.

Yeah sometimes the track just isn't up to par for all that power..... This past year at the World Street Nationals I saw many of the top dogs (6 second cars) getting too much tire shake and not being able to make a clean full pass..... I tell ya it can't be fun getting tire shake at those speeds in those cars (time to change the diaper)

I heard a rumor that Mike was protested by the other people in his class and not allowed to compete.
These cry baby NOS guys are getting out of hand.

These supercharger companies have the rules made for their cars in certain classes of the NMRA and FFW and PTK has had enough of it so they are basically saying put up or shut up
