Husek and Bison recommended this product to me. My turbo's on the way to Bison as we speak to figure out why my seal is leaking. May have had something go through the turbo after the new build who knows??

Or I may be paying BEATAV8 $10 if there's nothing wrong with it.:)

I'm trying to get a visualization of how this thing mounts anyone have some pics they can throw up for me?

Thanks Brett

its a canton racing billet cartridge filter system with a port tapped at end that feeds the turbo from oil that has to go through the filter first
screws in place of your stock filter and then the braided oil feed hose runs up to turbo

heres a pic of it on my 87ttop..its the blue thing with the billet cap below my wastegate

Ok I see how it works. Pretty simple.

I did some searching and it looks like you need to buy your filters from TR Customs or is there something I can get at the parts store?

you could source from others including canton , but...
im sure marks not getting rich on them and you know youll get what you need , not just the correct filter but the oring kits as well

Yeah, I was thinking more of the convenience than $$$$. I guess you just need to order a few and keep them handy.

marks filters are listed at only 20 cents more than canton

an alternative is the precision turbo maxi-flow aka turbosaver ( http://www.cottonsperformance.com/proddetail.asp?prod=PTE-TSK&cat=96) that has a remote mount filter and uses larger wix 51049 filters
the precion turbo turbosaver uses a remoted filter head that mounts on front of rad support by battery and an adapter that spins on where oil filer was , two 5/8" parker hoses connect them with an hose ends. the turbo gets fed with -04 AN braided line that comes off the remote head and only allows filtered oil to get to the turbo

I saw that one during my search. Looks like a good piece. Just more that can go wrong IMO. I like simple.

You got a pic of the turbo saver installed Paulie? I think I have one that was sent to me in a box of parts I got a long time ago.

the precision turbo saver ?..
i posted a pic above of marks which is just the blue billet filter with a hose coming off the end cap

heres the PTE

I run a Pte, No leaks.. but Marks is nice and effective also...

Working on a famous TR right now and had leaks on ends of the hoses. Yanked it all out and replacing with one of mine. Have seen other posts about it as well.

I wouldn't say the PTE's leak but they do have more hoses and fittings. Mark's one just has one line thus reducing the amount of places it "could" leak. It's a really nice piece, simple installation, and reduces the amount of clutter.

Want leaks, buy the one from Precision, want simple and effective, buy mine.
Will this product support use with the OEM engine oil cooler adapter ? If so I don't think oil pressure drop to the turbo would be a concern. I also use the large filter adapter.

put your original oil nut back and mark sells a short billet for use with the oil cooler

Do you know that there is a sufficient oil wedge in the center housing bearings when using this oil filter adapter?

I have one and like it. Simple to use and no clutter like said above
