Turbo Regal Hood Ornament?

Please can someone let me know if this hood ornament is the correct one for my 1986 Regal T Type? Mine was missing when I bought the car,and I just aquired this one but am not sure if it is the right one? Please someone fill me in. Thanks very much

The one you have is for an earlier model. The one you need has two mounting posts on the bottom.

It should work. I had to replace my header panel on my 85. I used a NOS 87 header panel, and installed my hood ornament back on without a problem

you'll need to modify the header panel for that one to work ....... it has a mounting tab (not the two posts). the ornaments from an 85 and a 87 would be interchangeable, but not the one you have shown.

I would trade you for one from my 86 T-type but There is some pitting on the chrome in a couple spots on mine. Let me know

the top part is good, just go to the junk yard and buy an 87 na bottom if you can find one. or buy another:redface:

Yes. I took one from an 87 TR and put it on the base of my 82 Regal waGoN. It isn't that hard to swap out. It just takes a couple of minutes and very little patience.
