OK I got a TE63 and it ran fine before I touched them.
anyway I took it apart by removing the exhaust housing(because of a broken bolt) and then the inlet shield because I was going to use one from my TE-61 before I realized they are different brands. Well I got the exhaust housing back on and put the inlet shield back on and the turbo used to spool up instantly now it is super slow, if I floor it from a stop it will take to 30 mph to get to 7psi max. Now my questions are 1. Is there a certain way the inlet housing has to go back on? 2. Does the middle section have to be in a certain location besides the oil line with 2 bolts on bottom? 3. Or could the wastegate be bad? (Even though I took it off and put it on the TE-60 for a month or so and had no problems, maybe just a little slower lag then with the bigger turbo which I did not understand at the time I just thought that the TE-63 has such a larger inlet it had to be that.)
Any ideas??
Thanks
