what the biggest turbo that i can fit over a hot air car hood:D . i want a big one:eek:

that depends on if your keeping the turbo in the stock location. if the answer is yes then I think the ta-49C/52 is do-able. if you going to relocate the turbo, drop in a big 'ole t-63/72:eek:

Hey Jason...did you get that intake??

after i sent it i wondered about the address if i sent it to the place you mailed it from or if that was your address

hey

i got a ta-54 under mine. the only thing that rubs is if you have a stock accuator u need like a race gate or delta gate and it wont rub.

yes i got the intake you did i really good job on it . yea you sent it to the place i sent it from but that ok they call me and said i got a package there and when and got it

thanks jason

what about a 60 series will they fit under it . i want the biggest badest turbo i can get under a stock hood:D

I still think the ta60 would be a nice turbo for your combo, but there was someone running a 60's and said it was tight but it fit.

i'm running a ta-60 with no clearance problems.i run a deltagate on the crossover.

later,sean

hey jadams

hey jadams
i was wondering why u want this biggest turbo you can put under the stock hood? i mean there is no reason to go that big. im running a ta-54 and that will be the biggest turbo i will ever need. what kinda setup do you plan of runnning for this huge turbo? do you plan on running 9's or something? My ta-54 will take me deap into the 10's, o also the Ta-54 is alot bigger then the Ta-60

brent:D

hey

im not talking about compreeser sizes or anything im talking about how much it flows compared to the TA_60. all these turbos are about the same size on the out side and there are very little difference in the inside. i was talking about flow. the flow on the ta-54 flows alot more then on the 60. so i was saying the 54 is alot bigger because it flows alot more then the 60

crazy-how did you get a 60 to fit with no clearance problems at all?? I was under the impression that a 49 was a very tight fit??

-please enlighten me

thanks
-Brad-

i run the ta54 with no problem , but i think with the 3000 stall and the 50lb injectors , with the ported stock intake it would be a nice turbo , plus he is intercooling the car so he really does not need any thing real big just to match his set up now.

I see your list is getting bigger:eek: maybe you forgot something,

BIG TURBO + PEG LEG :D :D hope you have good tires

when i get it running it wont have a peg leg :) but im still going to need good tires

hate to break it to you,but flow is determined by compressor and turbine wheels.pte's #'s have always been funky.take a good look at this:

http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/turbo/turboupdate.html

and compare it to the turbo wheel size chart.if a turbo has the same wheels in the same housings it will flow ~ the same.a pt54 is a ta-61.i don't buy that it flows 20-40 cfm more than the identical parts by another vendor just because it has a pte sticker on it.

hey

to bad were not talking about the the 61 turbo. where talking about the 60 turbo.

brent

no,you are talking about the ta-61,you just don't know it.read this slowly so it sinks in:

a pt-54 and a ta-61 are the same turbo.same wheels,same housings.

you claimed a pt-54 was "way bigger" than a ta-60.it's not, despite pte's inflated flow claims.with the same housing(ta/te)they are about 20 cfm apart.
