I picked up neat article today (PHR June '80) where two 1980 TA's were tested. One 301T and one 301NA. Here are the numbers:
301T ($350 option)
210 hp
350 trans
3.08 gears
16.64@84.11
301NA
170 hp
350 trans
3.08 gears
17.05 @ 80.28
The turbo got you 4 tenths and 4 mph. I think most people were expecting more.
I can see why many were disappointed considering the 6.6 liter engines the year before. The magazine recommended sticking with the NA. Too bad they didn't try modifying both to see which made more potential.
