i had a t-49 and the dump open and talk about whistle man! i had a 218 cam so the car loped a little and whistle loud as hell at idle. i use to sit at the light at traffic and people use to just look at me with confusion i loved it but after a while and a few tickets i didnt run the car on the street open nice though

My stock turbo whistles loud as hell at anything over about 65 mph. It also whistles noticeably at just a hair more than idle, about 1100 or 1200 rpm. I love the whistle. The look on someone's face when you go by them and the turbo is screaming bloody murder is precious. As a kid, I used to follow my brothers to the drag strip, and never understood why some cars were whistling and others weren't. When I asked my brother why that was, he had only one thing to say, and it has stuck with me since then--" Don't f*ck with anything that whistles like that."
