Do you realize that you'll have to upgrade chips and injectors to 55-60's? What are your goals, and how loose is your converter really. You will loose a some spool up going much bigger on turbo. If your car doesn't spool "instantly" now, the you'll have to deal with some slow slow spooling some how. My guess is that the precision is slightly better, but both will get the job done. We're all biased on turbos here. So expect most people to say precision.
How fast are you really wanting to go? We all have turbo evy and want to run a 70mm if we could. If you're just wanting to go high 10's, then get a pt52-54. They'll make more power then the TE44 and still spool good with your converter.. and be cheaper. or heck.. the TE44 can do it with the right combo and lots of boost.
