I have an 85 t-type. I have already bought a turbo crank,8445 heads and a 109 block. All need maching. But that will done shortly.
My car runs strong. But it has 130,000 on it. So I think that it is due for a rebuild. It already has an aluminum radiator with electric fan. An 87 ecm, snubber, rear seat braces,airbags,posi,lt1 maff w/ translator, cold air intake, walpro 307, adj. fuel reg.
With all that being said would I be better off tracking down all of the brackets, etc. needed to convert to intercooled. or should i go with the turbo motion setup. Are you still limited to avilable turbos for hot air cars with the tm setup? Or can you use any turbos that the intercooled cars do?
My over all goal is to go mid 11's on pump gas and alchy. And I insist on using the 109 block. So will all of my current brackets and such mount up,(if i go with the tm setup). The block came from an 87 n/a olds.
Any other +'s or -'s to the tm setup would be appreciated.
thanks for the help
