when you run the 90 MPH pass how much boost were you running.

i think the problem with your combo is you have a 4L60E trans. with a 3.06 first gear the motor is not gonna get loaded up enuff to make the turbo build boost good. that would explain why it builds boost after 3k. a turbo is aload dependant device.

a 700r4/ 4L60E has a 3.06 first gear. then the second gear is a 1.63 then third is 1.00 and overdrive is .70

a 200r4 gearing 1st 2.74 2nd 1.57 3rd 1.00 4th .67

notice how the 200r4 don't have the big ratio change from first to second gear like the 700r4

thats why most camaro's has a 2.73 gear and still feel good in first till is shifts in second then dies out due to lugging the engine.

i think the 90 mPH was about 11.5 psi

roght now is like 50% stay 3.23 and 50% go 3.42 :frown:

You should disregard my earlier advise as it was based on my experience with the trans gear ratios of the 200-4r. I didn't realize your trans was different....so now I am not sure either lol... sorry for the mistake.

hes a scan from the track and my 90 MPH run.... the shift point MPH and RPM...

www.turbov6camaro.com/track8.htm

does this tell you anyhting?

It tells me I wouldn't trust those RPM numbers as far as I could throw them. There is a 3 second lag between the actual RPM and the other readings (unless that is the clutch, converter or trans is slipping big time)

where you see a 3 second lag? nothing is sliping less then 1000 miles on everything

the whole log is only 11 seconds long (i cut out the BS stuff before the run and after the run, no need to see the trip back from the time slip place or the car running in the staging lanes)

The RPM only drops 500 RPM the 2-3 shift. It should be more like 1200. You are at 5500 RPM at 91 mph with 3.23 gears. This means 6K RPM would = 99 mph when it should be 130 mph.

Either the converter is super loose or the tach is wrong.

this graph is a 1st to 3rd gear dyno pull i stopped on it at ~25 MPH (i wanted to see the AFR so i had something to tune from)

http://www.turbov6camaro.com/dyno/jacked.jpg

and your right the top of thrid is about 130 MPH the verter is wierd (vigilant 3800 stall) it stays at ~5300 and SLOWY works its way up in RPM as the car picks up speed......
revlimit is at 6400 right now

thanks for helping me figure this out so far :) :D

Thanks for the information.
I think the converter is off.

even around town the car will shift but the rpms say where they are  i jsut thought that was beast of a high stall but up top the rpm rise slowy....... witch gets me to the 130MPH he was talking about

if any of you guys have Hp tuners i can send you my tune file...... maybe i FUBAR'ed it somewhere, since i'm self learned on alot of it

well guys

Thanks alot for all the input  since i got new set of 3.42 for 35 bucks, I'm going to go with those, worse come to worse i'll have to get a 28" tire, witch is alot easier then changing gears..... i'll be sure to post up my results !!

http://media.putfile.com/Emerald-Coast-1-22-05 << my first track day ever !!! (well that the tranny didn't explode!! ) the first run you see my car is the best of the night and the last one i the lanch was fubar'ed do to tuning issue's
