TV adjustment

My question is how far is to far when adjusting the TV cable. I attempted to set the TV cable using the proceduce described on Gnttype.org. My TV cable only makes one click and does not ratchet back to the notches. Is this to far? At this setting the car shifts great chirping the tires 1-2 and 2-3 but OD comes later than it did at the previous TV setting. Now OD comes at approx. 55 mph versus 45 mph. What should I do I don't want to damage the transmission?

thats the best setting to start with, but now move it up (towards the radiator) one click at a time, till it feels better, One click can make all the difference in the world. Mine was the same way and one click brought it from 55 to 45 and did not affect teh other shifts at all.

Is one click really that sensative??? I can never move mine one click. Do you do it by pressing the tab in and pulling it out or do you just pull it out hard so that it only goes one click. I am asking because I have been trying to set mine for 3 days and I can't get it right. Car is making my neck sore.
