Doe's The TV cable control the shifting of the tranny? Or just the timing of the shift depending on speed,and the down shift? Thanks.

your shifting is affected. i spent alot of time on this and tuning.
i recommend you try it on the first ratchet on adjustment, this is i think the gm recommended. its one click in towards the front.
on mine this setting was neck snapping harsh shifts, on second notch, the harshness when down to about 70% and shifts were starting to come in ....kind of wanted to leave it there but i ended up on the next adjustment...car drives and shifts just right but now nicely firm...shifts and downshifts without feeling like your backs gonna hurt later
