TV CABLE SEALING AT TRANS CASE

As I was connecting up all the misc items on my trans installation I noticed on the bench there was a rubber washer roughly 3/4" OD with a 1/2" hole. I'm trying to remember where this could go and I thought about the TV cable. Is there a recess in the cable or the case for this washer that seals the flange? This is the only place I could think it goes on. Thanks

There was a recess in my tv housing and mine had a washer in it also between the housing and the rubber boot seal .
