TV Exhaust?

So quick question, why do people leave the tv exhaust valve and check ball out? I put mine back in, I'm not sure if that has an effect on the pressures I'm seeing, but I couldn't really find an answer for why to leave it out. What I did read said that if the tv cable became disconnected without it, the clutches would burn up quick. So if the tv exhaust valve and check ball could prevent that, why wouldn't you keep them in the trans?

Depending on what modifications were made to the transmission sometimes it's necessary to adjust the T.V. cable loose enough to where it would seat the check ball which would make minimum pressure too high. It's removal typically is not necessary.

Thank you, that makes sense, but it's an answer I could not find anywhere.
