SignUp Now!A pen spring I dug upHas anyone helped you with this yet? What's in the vb now?
Shifts where quick using the spring from a pen. I'm pretty sure using that spring was why.I got one that I used at the local hardware store. They had a selection to choose from. I'm pretty sure as long as it pushed the TV valve back it is good .

Ok let me pick up a battery for the caliper and I'll check back in. ThanksMeasure the free length of the large tv plunger spring with a dial caliper and also measure the amount of tv plunger remaining out of the bushing at the point where the tv valve just bottoms out. We'll go from there
Good stuff thanks. I wonder how I passed this over in the search for info.jimski, there is good information on setting up the TV line up springs in this thread:

Ok got it thanks for clarifying thatInstall the spring, bushing, and plunger in the valve body. Push the plunger in until the T.V. valve bottoms out then measure how much of the plunger is still extended from the bushing.
Yes it does bottom out. It is a conical spring in there also. It works freelyDoes that valve truly bottom out against the very back of the bore with the small spring completely collapsing inside it? Is that a conical outer anti stick spring I see?
