Will Willkerson brought "TWEAKED" to CONLEY'S Performance Plus & Chassis Dyno Center this weekend to tweak it before B.G. After creeping up on the tune, LC was able to get over 1011 H.P. @ the rear wheels. Will said he was happy with that, so they desided to stop there. Keep in mind, this is a MustangDyn Dyno. Not a over generious DynoJet. Tweaked is still the same single turbo set-up it was 6 years ago when Lawrence raced it. Just upgrades on the fuel managment & turbo. Should be a BLAST to see it in B.G. this year. Its good to see Will & LC are still "Going Fast With Class"

Awesome #'s!!! It's good to hear that Will and LC are still racing "Tweaked"

Any pictures up from the event???
I would like get some ideas for a set of
single turbo race headers!

No offense guys, but every year I see that car at Bowling Green its always breaking down and sputtering. In the last four years I have yet to see it make a clean pass. Hope things work out better this time

The purpose of getting the car dynoed is to get things sorted out before getting to the track. You can bet there won't be any sputtering or breaking this year. You can accomplish days of tuning at the track in hours on the dyno.

First of all, When you race a car only once a year , its hard to get out all the bugs in one event.

Second, Thats why he brought it to Lawrence. So he could go have some fun and run good for the fans.

Third, When your dealing with that much H.P. It takes alot of things to be just right to make a good, clean passes.

And last but not least, We should be happy as DIEHARD Buick fans to see the car run. It is a part of Buick/Turbo V6 Power History.

And one more thing, I would much rather see it make a couple of half passes, then to see it just sit there in the car show area.

Will,

I really like your car and I would like to wish you well with it.
Let us know how you do. Please let me know about your turbo when you get a chance. It looks bigger than an 88MM, at least the standard mid frame version.

Any chance we can get the full size pictures that were posted above? What about a video of the dyno???

Thanks in advance!

BTW, after looking at that pic it looks like a 91mm turbo.....

Got any idea on how much Tweaked weighs?

Steve,

I think it was 2750 on its 7.75 @ 179 pass.
I am not sure what it weighs now.

John, yeah I thought it was around 2800-3000lbs so that sounds about right....

Steve O,

The car used to run a PT-90 and would weigh between
2905lbs in NMCA Trim and 2800 to 2750lbs in match race trim.
I am not sure how light they can get it!

It seems like most or all of the Buick backhalf cars I see are in the 2800-3200lb range.... I guess it's not easy getting weight out of these tanks:D

I am happy to see the car coming out again, looks like it is making plenty of power, the major problems Tweaked has had were mostly transmission related,(one of the major reasons I canned the automatic idea) hopefully the team has worked through that! If you doubt people are interested in the car, watch everyone RUN to the fence as he heats the tires!!!It is ALOT of hassle to keep one of these things running at that power level not to mention the people you have to get involved for assistance. I need at least 2 other people to come along just to check everything out and make adjustments between rounds.I had planned on racing my car regularly this year but due to the expansion of the business, it is probably not happening! The Conleys are a class act who are always willing to help out and share "secrets":D I agree with Chris, I'd rather see a cople half passes than look at it in the car show! I will however quote Lawrence "If it doesnt run, we'll wax it!". Best of luck guys.
