It would nice to see Liddell retire if he wins his next fight. He's 37 yrs old and I would like to see him go out on top instead of making a fool out of himself like Shamrock did. Shamrock in his prime was a just awesome and im sure he would have taken Ortiz if both fought in their prime. But People only remember your last fight and unfortunately Shamrock will be remembered as a great fighter at one time but not the worlds most dangerous man.
Liddell appears to have more money then he can spend. After this fight I would think he would have been paid atleast a million if not quite a bit more but I dont know. With Endorsements thats probably trippled.
The Spike special that showed his house, Ferrari, Hummer and ford truck shows he is financially set for many lifetimes.
He has fought a little more then 20 fights in the UFC and only lost 3 times. He should leave in his prime while he is on top.
Ortiz just does not impress me anymore. But he is only 31 so he has time to get a lot better. Did anyone see that interview with Dana White where he said the UFC is worth over a billion dollars now. He said he and his investors paid 3 million for the rights to the UFC. I would be curious to know what he pays out for a title fight.
