Well, here I go again. I was all happy, I got my new Thrasher in and was enjoying my new found boost when something let go. :( I had just slowed down for a RR crossing, got to the other side ans tepp ed into it. I got to about, the middle of second, 50 mph or so and something just let go. All at once the RPM's went through the roof and she stopped pulling. Everything seemed normal before this shifts were firm as usual with no other problems. I was able to limp the car home since I was only a half mile from home. If I wind it up, I can creep around but that's about it. No forward gears, no reverse., but park still works. What do you think I did? I'm going to give Eric Shertz a call tomorrow since his shop is only 15 min from me and see what he thinks. Oh well, I guess I'll be saving on fuel costs for a while.

That...

Would be a VERY good idea.....

Please let me know what you find out because mine is doing the exact same thing. I can wind it up and it will barely move! Bruce,
how hard is it to replace the front pump? Thanks:D

All better !

Well, here's the deal. I brought the tranny down to Eric over at Dynotech on Monday afternoon and it was done by Thursday night. I'm now the owner of a Shirtz built "Hi-pro" trans. Turns out that the converter was failing sending metal throught the trans taking out the pump and hanging some valves up. All combining to form my "no go" problem. It should be in the car on Sat. night, I'll be able to gve a full report then. For now I would definately recomend anyone in the NY,NJ,PA area with a need to give Eric a call over at Dynotech. Great guy, explaines all of your options, and fast service.
