Un-torque Spec

Simple question from a simple guy.

Torqued my rod bolts to 80 lb.ft (SBS CARR bolts, max 100 lb.ft) and needed to unfasten one rod to inspect something. It only needed 65 lb.ft to unfasten. Is this difference normal?

Lubed of course (I'm not that simple!)

Not normal. The break away torque should be higher because of the starting friction.
