upgrade from old style smc kit to progessive

what parts are needed?? I have the old style kit and would like to upgrade to the progressive kit. Im sure someone has gone through this so thanks in advance.

To an SMC progressive you'll need to contact Steve. Altho there may be a compatability issue with his controller and the older in-tank pumps.

To an Alkycontrol progressive.. dont bother. Pump is your issue, and by the time you add all the parts costs.. be in the same boat as buying a new kit.

Just a controller.. any of the aftermarket controllers should work.. but your system limitation will always be the pump. Unless your looking at a 12 second car with minor alky requirements.

Personally I hated the 2 quart container.. I would fly through it. That is why the move to the GN coolant tanks = 1 gallon.

Yea the smc kit is the old style, i bought it like 3 years ago. Is upgrading to the progessive kit really needed? What are the main pros n cons to the new progessive kit and the old smc kit.

Buying your used fast unit, some new axles, and engine harness have pretty much drained my bank account and would like to not spend any more then i have to. But but but if you think its worth it ill sell my old one and get the new one progessive kit. Thanks alot Julio for your imput.

A lot of Buick enthusiasts are very happy with their SMC system. I dont want to get into this vs that.. that type of decision you'll need to make. And I do not want to turn this thread into a SMC vs Alkycontrol deal.

If you need particulars. Make the time, pick up the phone.. and call me. Somethings are best not to be posted in an open forum. One debate I wont get into.
