Our website www.hrpartsnstuff.com has been down mostly since Sunday. My web guy has never given me a copy of the site, and has become very hard to reach.

Can ANYONE make a copy of everything that is on our website?
Any web developers that can help out???
Referrals???????

PLEASE HELP!
It's finally up again right now, want to get a copy while I can. Not sure what I need to do it.

Please e-mail me to contact me direct.

You will need to get a hold of the username and password. Unless someone knows how to gain entrance pass the security (any hijackers ;) )

It doesn't take much to copy everything.

Is that for domain account or hosting account?

I have info for both, but not sure if it's what I need to get into where I need

It should be from the hosting name. Do you have any type of program to use to copy from the website. I use a cheapy program called CuteFTP.

Basically you would need to FTP the files from the hosting place to your computer or CD ROM.

I'm no pro Webmaster, although I do upkeep and update our club's website (still learning).

As danster said, all you need is something like CuteFTP. You can download a free version. Plug in the user name, password, isp address, connect and you'll have all the files in front of you. What you need to do is opposite of what you would normally do. Normally, you make changes to the site on your computer and upload them to the host computer. You need to tap into the host computer and download the files to your hard drive. It looks complicated, but its pretty easy, its almost like windows explorer (your file manager).

Using any ftp client such as wsftp or core ftp which are free. Use the login info I sent you. ip addy, username password. Once connected it is just copy from the ftp to your local drive. Copy the entire contents. This what I was doing ona regular basis for the site. Please be aware that this is not the shopping cart. I have sent you all the info you requested.

Thanks all!

Machinegun has helped a ton with all this, just now his regular (paying) job has got in the way  Hate when that happens! I will play with it all later this week & see what I come up with. It is aggrevating for me to have all these ideas about the site & no way (or afford) to get them all done in a timely manner. I will just have to allocate some time each week to the project until it's done.

After doing some resaerch my hunch has been somewhat vilidated. It appears that since saturday, a large number of people with roadrunner and adelphia have been complaining of slowness and website response. At least these are only some I have found. Looks like there were some major DNS slow downs or outages over the last few days. I still see people complaining about them. Major areas so far have been New York, Florida, hawaii, california. Cali actually looks like it had 2 major routers down in that area. If anybody has seen any of this please let me know. If you are having issues try adding the following DNS servers to your DNS server list.

4.2.2.1

4.2.2.2

4.2.2.3
