I have a set of billet main caps and a main stud set up that I would like to sell. There are 3 main caps-the first 3 caps. $190 shipped(please add 3% or send as a gift if using PayPal).

I will offer 150 shipped. My builder is wary on fit. Why were they taken off? Spun bearings?

He's got a very valid point, need to measure the length of the cap with a caliper and then the block, caps are an interference fit. If the cap fits loose or not tight enough either the block or cap needs to be welded and machined back down----that would make a new set of caps a way cheaper and better alternative.

Not trying to steel OP's thunder his maybe just fine.

I don't understand this type of post especially when I have already posted that they were sold 2 post above yours. Everyone knows that machine work is required to fit billet caps and the fact that they are used is why I was asking 50% of the new cost to help offset the installation cost.

It's called information, trust me many guys on here have no idea what it takes to install these correctly. Some day some one will search billet caps find this thread and it will help them.

No need to get your feelings hurt. I didn't say anything was wrong with your parts.

I have no issue with information but unsolicited info doesn't belong in a for sale post. The previous poster expressed his concerns about fit from his engine builder so your post didn't add anything he wasn't aware of. If there had been question and you answered it that would have been one thing but that wasn't the case. Used parts are just that-used. That's why they are cheaper than new parts. Do you post in every used header thread and talk about the heat cycling of metal?
