Guys I m looking for anyone that as gonne through the process of getting a loan through these people.Their site is just abit vauge to me.Ive been looking to buy a second TR and have decided not to hit the savings as originally planned.

How does the whole process go , i know after the app and and recieving the check & paper work, buy the car , but how and DO they get the title? Also what if you pay less for the car than applied for? pay 7k for a 10k car for example? How could you keep the rest of the money? like for wheels or someting like that?

Thanks

Louie

Hi Lou...

Check with your Credit Union, don't know muck about this bank, but I can tell you that Credit Unions are much more flexible and have better interest rates than conventional banks and their used car financing. Most conventional banks do not finance a car over 5 years old, and/or over 60K miles.:)

If you get a chance, give me a call...

Regards !

I have had three car loans with them.

They are great.

The way the explained it to me, "the loan is a personal loan, with the car being the collateral". They really didn't care how much the car cost or how much it was worth. It all depends on your credit, and how much you get approved for.

If you call them, they can tell you what the deal is.

The first time I used them (when I bought my GN!), I just had to take their paperwork to the bank to get it notarized.

The last time I used them was when we bought our conversion van, and the dealership did all the paperwork for us.:D

They are great, we financed my wife's '96 i30 thru them. Best rates, killer service.

Once you agree to the terms, they will overnight you the check and a form the dealer fills out and sends back to them. THat's it, it's very easy.

And they send me a birthday card too. :D

or...

If you have a mortgage, and you haven't refinanced already, you can refinace and get cash out. I did this to pay off my GN and some credit card debt...:D

If you are buying from an individual all you have to do is get together with the seller. With title, insurance card, buyer and sellers id's, and you Peoplefirst paper work schedule and appointment to a Mail Boxes Etc (Ups Store). Give Notary at the MBE all that stuff and he will do the rest. Takes less than 1 hour.

Its real easy and you save .5% by having your payment electronically deducted from your checking account.

I have my loan with them and I think they only way you can get the money back is to get the seller to give you cash and the car at the time you give him the check. For example, you are approved for $10K and you pay $7K but want $3K back. You give the seller $10K check and he gives you the car and $3K cash. They don't require an appraisal like most credit unions do and they were pretty easy to deal with. I would recommend them. I got a great rate too.

Lou I take back what I said...

just called my C/U and though the interest rate is attractive, 3.95apr for 36 mos., they base their loan an NADA ACV for a GN @ $3690.00, looks like NADA is lost. Looking @ Peoples First.com, looks you'll do alright.

It's good to know about them...

Thanks for the replies guys.

Roy,

I did try the Credit Union. They have always taken care of me and will almost give money away!T hey will loan me up to 19k on a GN and 13k on a T, at at 14.5% even with good credit. The can keep it!!! These are based on NADA collectible values.

After looking at Peoples Rates i may even refinance the Suburban . Thanks for the info guys

Wow!! My credit union (Worker's Credit Union) gave me loan for the purchase price of my GN and TTA (with appraisal) and I got a rate of 6.25%. It would have been less had I done automatic withdrawl. Maybe try another credit union for a better rate if you decide not to go through peoplefirst. From what I hear though, they are great to deal with.

Louie will you buy me another GN too ....please :D
Also seeing as you have all this gooood credit may its time to do that addition in your house we were talking about last year (I could get it done in a week ) , Your wife would like that  instead of the GN ;)

j/k

Jesse

 am I reading that you have to live in Fla to get a loan from these guys. I thought there was another post with a lender that would do loans as well???

Peoplefirst.com in San Diego, Calif is the one that I dealt with for my BMW loan. This is the site:http://www.peoplefirst.com/

As stated they are the best in rates, service, and it will be the most pleasant experience that you will have getting a loan. I highly reccomend them. :)

No, you don't have to live in FL to get a loan thru them. There are a couple of states they don't do loans in but they will give a loan to someone in the majority of the states out there.

thought I would ressurect this post. I recently applied w/ peoplefirst, now owned by capital one, for a 2004 Z06 vette. Got my approval right away :) but they want 10.95% interest  . I've got great credit, prime rate. My credit union said they could do it for 5.19% . Are they only competitive on older collector cars?

Maybe the good rates are all over now that Cap One owns them..?

I got my loan for a '95 BMW, hardly a collector older car. They told me they didn't care what car it was for and the rate would be based on my credit. My rate was 5% almost a year ago and the rates are lower now. My credit union wanted 8.75% at the time.

I bought my 96 crew cab dually last week through people first at 3.99% interest.

Now if I could just get the damn thing shipped here from CA before its paid off!!!
