I am helping with the retuning of a 1998 firebird. he took off the nos and blower and now has incredible problems with the rev limit. doesnt go over appr. 2000 rpm's I have calmap 6.32 and got the ecu files out and now jsut need a little advice on how to recalibrate. Is there a good starting point or should i just save the file in a different name and dive right in knowing that i can always put my saved file back in and be where i am now. See this is why i have a 70 nova with a 454 No problems lol Thank you in advance for any advise you can give me and have a great day.

Hey Mr. Nova,

This is probably not the best forum for this question. But quickly, the answer is yes. This is an old fuel injection system if I am not mistaken, and Calmap is the predecessor to DFI I believe. Copy and save the file under a new name, then modify away. If it doesn't go above 2000 rpms, I doubt its a rev limit issue since no one would set a 2000 rpm limit. There is must be another problem elsewhere, mechanical or electro-mechanical related.
