My buddy has an orange stripe conv. The trany went south and he had a full performance one built(exchange). he went with a vigilante. Would it not be smart to put this converter in my car. Is there a way to clean them out. My car has a stock turbo. would i see an e/t gain w/ this converter(if its ok to use) thanks

I wouldn`t use it

You never know what`s inside a T/C from a trashed trans. The only way to make sure they`re clean is open em up.

I agree. Most tranny shops have a Flushing machine for torque converter WITHOUT lock up. Since the tranny went south, There is a good possibility that the thrust bearings got tore up. Its a gamble if you decide to use it as is.
