Hello all. I would like to like to know if there is a "better" arrangement of vacuum lines coming into the "vacuum block," and the vacuum block itself? As I was searching for a "boost leak" at fairly low pressure, 10 to 12 psi, I discovered air was coming out of everywhere! I also had a leak at T.B. to Plenum gasket, and IAC as well. I ordered a 4-piece gasket kit for everything in that area. However, I would really like to "redesign" the vacuum block/1 1/2" hoses that are to close together to secure them with "Ty-Wraps. Does anyone have any suggestions? thanks in advance. PXL_20241026_174444353.jpg

theres a 6port cotton used to sell
like this one
you can thread in your own 1/8npt fitting to barb for hoses or use pushlock fittings

because of the config you cant use the steel vac lines but it eliminates three connection points that can leak

personally i hate the stock look billet vac block for the reason you stated , ports are too close
when you run a pte plenum or spacer it raises the block into the hood liner
a low profile block would have been better with wider spacing
i like to block it off with a flat plate and drill the intake or the plenum for 1/8" fittings and pushlock hose

cruz also sells a relocate kit

another thing to add , the nipples need to be sealed , remove and locktite works good
for the hoses if they are new (clean ) you can use a drop of superglue which is what gm did on them

Went this route & luv it, have no regrets . It sure cleans up the look in the already cluttered engine bay & with Cruz’s new Angled Plenum Spacer there is no rubbing on the hood liner

I personally eliminated my vacuum block. Drilled, tapped, & used barbed fitting(secured w/zip ties) on the rear on my intake.

Added thread sealer on threads. Must admit, I don't hate the Loctite idea.

After going to the PTE plenum I machined a taper into it to tip it down.
I also machined the aluminum vac block .100” off the bottom and another .100” off the top, with angles on the front and back there’s clearance now.
I did have to assemble one hose at a time to get the zip ties on with HD Gates hose.
I kind of like a more factory look.
