I found a serious leak i've bee looking for, it was an 90degree elbo port coming from the bottom of the turbo. The port was open and i didn't find a hose that might have been connected to it. I put a cap on it and it seemed to run great but i can't help but wonder what is suppose to go there. I know its hard to eplain what it looks like on this MB but if anyone could help I'd appreciate it.

thanks

Umm...yea..I'd say that is one hell of a vac leak!

That port is supposed to go to the Y.

The Y branches off to the WG actuator, and the WG soliniod....any idea on what kinda boost you are running? I am gussing ALOT if you dont have another form of boost control....If you are using the stock boost control method..you might wanna get that fixed...like soon.

ok now a diff port

I have most of the lines figured out, the one to the port ont he turbo i was talking about was on a port on the throttle body. I have been looking and don't see where that (the one on the front of the throttle body) connects to. Before i had Conley's look at it, the port wasn't connected to anything. I remember once i thought it might be causeing a vac leak so i put a cap on it and it made the car idle worse. I left it unplugged untill now. WIth it unplugged i didn't have any probelms it felt lke nothing was coming out or into the port. Does anyone know what this is? its a 90degree elbo on the throttle body, on the front of it. I know on mine it is very much out in the open, easy to see.

thanks

Maybe you are thinking about one of the cooling nipples on the side of the TB....there is one that is at the bottom, on the front, and it connects to the TB coolent lines..in this case no vac will come from it.

Yes? no?

that might be, the coolant lines where alredy blocked when i got the car. it looks alittle small for a coolant line though. I'll check and see if i can find a coolant map for the TB.
thanks
