I am interested in this car becuz it is close and I went to see it today test drive, too... needs $1,000 for exterior, plus new turbo (ta 49), nothing extreme, front and rear fillers, front and rear fiberglass bumpers, new paint, got tires and rims, what would cash buy it for today only???

Needs
New Turbo,
New Blower Fan for heater
New tires and rims,
front and rear bumper fillers,
head light bezels
new paint
weather door seals

cash value to purchase:
Kirban Performance shopping $1013
Cottons Peformance: $829 ta49 turbo
front mount intercooler $8xx

Looking to restore and upgrade moderately, no need for 10/11 car at this time, little work for now, by the way, I have a low mileage 87 GN, so show car is not really desired at this time as for looks and dependability are required.

I'd say that it's a $13-$14k car if it had none of those minor issues? Looks like alot of early action.

I offered $6500 cash plus I am willing to stick another 4-6k into

hard top daily driver is my goal, but live in wisconsin winters so not all the time year around

The deal isn't transferred and complete

But I guess I am looking for another point of view... is it worth it, knowing that there will be areas for improvement. I have checked around and $6500 plus some etxra cash spent here and there, should be a good daily driver... it seems you are the only person with a comment before the deal is paid in full...

$6500 for a 85k mile GN in that shape is a great deal. You don't need anyone to tell you that!! I'd hurry up and pay him before he changes his mind! Weren't the bids already at $6k with 5 days left before it was ended? I was figuring it would sell for around $8k.

shhhhhhh, don't say a word

shhhh, I offered CASH since so many ebay deals fall through, also, he is driving it to my house... excellent owner to offer to drive 1.5 hours south for a price set earlier today when I drove to see it... Got back just in time to withdraw money from bank minutes to spare... waiting for delivery as we type.. he was asking $8200, but the turbo and heater fan blower isn't working either... he actually said another guy offered him $7100 but he said I could have it... I dunno about it all, but I think it is fair deal for body and engine in 87 GN Hard top, rpo codes and build data (stickers in place correctly)... It needs work and parts, easily $2500 extra...

thank you

thank you

As they say, Cash Talks, BS Walks.

If this guy has/had a solid $7100 offer do you really think he'd be bringing it to you?

Every salesman has a better deal but is getting you a bargain, 'cause he/she "likes" you.

Take it now for that price;)

My gut was telling me +/- $7500 but then again my gut tells me lots of things:p

Not sure, ebay bid was $6,000, prior to buying it

I wasn't sure what to think,

Before he left home, the ebay bid was at $6,000, I don't trust ebay, it could be friend or relative bidding or an interested party.

What is the value of 87 GN, needs bumper fillers front and back replaced, needs paint, NO RUST, was previously owned in MS for the first 10 years 87 - 97, where after that? no rust...

Miles are 89,888 original, hard top, turbo could be replaced or engine work, worse case -- new engine! new paint!

I was looking and I wanted to restore parts as I choose. and this car seems to fit my budget and needs... I didn't want to spend $12,000 to $15,000 and then start modifying it. Please remember I have low mileage 87 GN #1 (38k)Not sure, but it seems like a fun hobby since life has changed for me in the last 4 months... I used to work alot and weekends were filled with more money, so now I plan to live life and relax more like being retired, since i have my weekends back. Also, I was divorced on March 3, 2008, so March 4, 2008 I purchased a 87 GN for cash, so I should be able to get my money out of it if needed, but money is not needed. It is a place to dump my cash and if I bought any other toys, atv's, snowmobile or boat, the value would decline every year plus the money I spent. I recently had hip surgery and I cannot ride atv's, motorcycles or go fishing for one year according to my hip doctor (military injury while jumping from airplanes over and over, pounding does affect the body joints early but not felt until your older). It helps to know some history.
