I know this is difficult to say, but I was hoping for some feedback on the value of a roller. I have an '87 T Type that drives very well. It has 85K on it, caged with a full clean interior, t-tops that do not leak, glass bumpers, southside lower control arms, 30 spline moser axles with c-clip elims and a custom paint job that is very nice.

The car is complete now and runs strong, ran a best of 12.00 @116 at Reynolds last weekend, with me coming out of the whole very soft on 26" drag radials. I want to take the motor and tranny out to put into a non-regal and a good buddy is very interested in the caged car for him to put a much more stout drivetrain in and make it a race car. I don't want to give him the car, nor do I want to make him feel ripped either...

Pics can be sent to anyone interested in seeing it.

TIA,
Ron

I would say at least $2500 considering the cage and rearend peices. The paint being nice maybe $3000.I would check the price of the parts that the car has like the cage kit, axles, bumpers etc and figure them in at 80% of that add it up and it would give a more fair figure to go off of.Also consider the installation cost of the cage and such.He will not be able to argue with the price then if he prices the peices out.You will be more than fair this way.

BTW that 116 is good for 11.5 to 11.3 I beleive in the 1/4!

Thanks for the reply. I am going to talk with him tomorrow to see what he thinks would be fair.

As for the times, I was coming out of the whole on vaccuum and not giving it wot till a few feet out. Terrible 2.0 60' times. I am more acclimated to the street then the track and haven't quite figured it all out at the track... Sometime next season, I would like to put some slicks on it and really try to get the 60' times down.

$2500 - $3000 sounds about right to me. For reference, I sold my 60k mile GN (CLEAN) roller for $5500 a couple of years ago.
