Valve covers are off, anything I should do before I put the new ones on?

Should the heads be retorqued? Engine has 6k on it.
Should I get the RJC Shaft braces? Are they an easy install or is there some special procedure?

Any opinions welcome. Even negative ones.:biggrin:

A few suggestions...

If you use RJC headgaskets then, YES you should retorque the heads.
If you are using the original high mileage rocker arm shafts, I would highly recommend taking them off and purchase the heavy duty ones that TurboBuicks.com Store: has. If you do have to retorque the heads then it would be a good time to swap headers......

Not sure, deciding on some right now. I know I am probably going to go with the TA crinkle black ones. Just not sure which ones yet. Working on a potential trade with a friend.

If had any concerns about the cam break in you could turn the motor over and check the push rods and the lift on the rockers.
