valve covers

are the 84/85 and 86/87 valve covers interchangable? can one fit the other and viseversa?

Pretty much but if you're going to use the 86-87 covers on an HA then you're better off than using the HA covers on an 86-87 engine. No breather on the pass side for the later engine so you can build up internal pressure easier.

hello people; HIJACK I just saw those VC on another thread and they mention there thicker for a better seal. No leaks. Do you think that's true?

Year of vehicle. On a HA car you may have some issues clearing the up pipe to the turbo.

gotcha yea they would be for my 85 and that is my concern about that clearance with the uppipe i might just pass them up

nothing wrong with them they r stock chrome covers just thought those were sweet looking might just spend that money on a 355 lb fuel pump instead

i went out to look at my valve covers to compare the driver side breather hole to these custom black ones posted on here and the hole on the custom ones is not in the same location as the stock one the hole on the custom ones is more towards the firewall which makes the hole sit right under the intake tubing and right exactly where i have some plate with sensors and vacumm lines attached on top of the valve cover ....did u have this problem? can that plate with sensors and vacumm lines attached to it b relocated?

My filter/ breather hole is in the same spot as you describe. Yes that bracket can be moved. I don't use any of those sensors anymore.
