Valve ticking

One of the roller rockers on my car ticks like a bastard when it runs and I believe its because the lash is too great. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how much lash I should run on the street?

People have different opinions on this, but I've been told by a couple well respected builders that zero lash plus 1/2 turn is good. Some say 1/4 turn, some say 5/8, etc.

I've always run zero plus 1/2 turn on hydraulic lifters. Never any issues on anything so far. If you are doing this running(does anyone else beside me still do it this way?), go slow and keep check on your oil.
