Vehicle Speed Sensor

I have been reading on some threads about the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) and it seems there are two types.

One is for Part number 25007463 is for analog dash
The another one is for Part number 25007227 is for digital dash

Would this be a true statement, then I guess both parts are not interchangeable?

They look different, I'd guess not interchangeable.

Green is for cars with cruse control.yellow for cars with out.

Maybe someone can chime in since I think Rock Auto might be wrong with their description, the yellow one is for Digital Instrument Panel, and the green one is without Digital Instrument Panel.
When I removed my original 87 GN Digital Instrument Panel the color was green, and I also have a spare Digital Instrument Panel that came with a green color VSS.

Any opinions on this?
