Verizon DSL users please step inside...

anyone using verizon dsl & not getting email notifications ?

ever since i switched to them im not getting notifications on this forum and one of the programming forums im on..

wondering if anyone else is having / not having this problem

I have Verizon DSL and I do get email notifications.

I'm thinking about switching to Verizon DSL (currently have Comast and getting to expensive) and was wondering about the service, how is it? How's uploading and downloading speed? Whats the price rate on a monthly Verizon DSL service?

I am going on my 2nd month of Verison DSL.The reason I chose Verison was the price $30 a month.Needless to say I just got my bill for the 2nd month and it went up to $42. I'm not to happy about that.

$30 to $42 without Verizon consulting with you? I'm a little leary now...

strange... Im not getting them...

I even have spam filters off in my outlook and in the web based mail settings, filled out one of the whiteform requests they have online
i dont think they are getting sent from here...

did you guys register when you already had your verizon ?
I had cable for years and switched to verizon(kept the same screen name) and thats when they stopped...

kind of a pain having to go back and track posts


the service has been very good so far, not quite as fast as cable,
but little difference in browsing. Big Downloads arent quite as fast though.
i got the one year commitment that's 29.95/month. hope i dont get hit with a rate hike

I pay $33/month ($34.95/month for DSL - $5.00 bundle discount + $2.88 for some cryptic B.S. fee). I guess I can't complain with the DSL. I had dial-up before the DSL so of course the DSL kicks butt. I think my brother's cable is faster though.

I believe I registered here during my days of dial-up. Somehow I wouldn't think that would matter though.

I use my work email at home so maybe that's a difference.

Are you guys using some kind of Verizon email?

When i switched from cable to dsl and changed my email in the profile, NJTurbo had to reset something on the server end before i could post since i kept the same user name.

I use Outlook Express for email, all filters off for now..
