I would look at the motor mounts if it happens in park.

They looked like they were in decent condition from what I saw with the trans out.. But is there a way to check them?

Nix

I took the belt off. Vibration was still there but it was not nearly as bad. I believe that to be just because of the reduced weight on the engine that it stopped some of the vibrating.

Balancer tight?
Have you pulled the valve cover to see if all of the valves are moving? (wiped cam)
Check the valve springs while you have it apart.
Un hook the converter and fire it up.

Bryan

I just did valve springs. I hope there is nothing wrong in that department. I always used ZDDP, so I am hoping it isn't the came.. I don't know how to check a balancer for tightness. I grabbed onto it and tried to move it by hands, and it was rock solid. I can unhook the converter later tonight.. If i had a miss fire, could it cause the shake? It seems to run alright in the supper RPMs, as well as the lower. I just checked the coil pack and from front to back (front tower to the one directly behind it) and each of those was around 10.7k Ohms.

The balancer is the dumper start the car and look if it's wabels. Or it's turning straight. Maybe it's out of balance

Does this car have a stock shortblock? steel crank?. Pull the balancer and see if its cracked. Dont do any more mods till you know what the problem is. Ever have a blown headgasket? You may have a bent rod causing problem.

I was told it is a stock engine. AFAIK the heads have never been pulled. I personally, have not. I am pretty sure its all stock longblock under here. Ill check the balancer. for visible cracks.. Hate to pull it but Ill do what I have to to get rid of this damn vibration..

Hey Guys. I found out from Eric that my chip is burned for a TE44 and a Mild Cam. I am going to have it re-burned. Does anyone think the chip is causing the miss fire and in turn the vibration?

Did you ever pull the valve covers to check valvetrain movement?
List the things you have checked so that we can help you further.
Has the timing chain been changed?
What do the spark plugs look like?
Have you Ohm'd the plug wires?

Bryan

MAF checked, seems to not be the issue, although it ran a little better.
Cam sensor unplugged, also did not affect anything.
Plugs are brand new, but I will pull them tomorrow and check them.
The previous owner told me the timing chain was done. Is there a way I can check it?
I did not pull the valve covers, but I did disconnect the TC. No issue there. I am hoping its not a flat cam.. Ill pull them this weekend. The coil pack tested 10.3k average front to back.

Nix

Wait a second. I just saw above that the car has a missfire? Do a compression test? Leakdown test? A missfire and a vibration are two different things. It could be the cam. Is there any noise fom valve cover area? Cease all upgrades until this problem is fixed.

I think the vibration is caused by the miss fire.. Bad running engine, shaking, bad mounts. You know.
