I have a PI converter for sale. I bought it off of a member on another board about 6 months ago for a project I was working on (dave, from triple edge performance). The trans didn't hold up and started slipping so I decided to go the th400 route. The Fluid that came out of the trans really didn't even smell bad yet, but I gave up on it pretty early. there was no metal or anything in the fluid, I guess the clutches simply couldn't take the power.

When I purchased the converter I was told it had less that 500 miles on it, and it I put less than another 500 on it, so its a pretty low milage converter. I believe it is a single clutch lockup, and I was told it was a 3200 stall, which matched up to what I watched it flash to in my truck. Converter was in a 27 spline 700R4, and I have been told by several transmission specialist that it will also work well in a 2004R, and a 27 spline 4l60e.

asking price is $350, let me know if you are interested, or if you have any other questions.

thanks,

-Brian

This sucks :(....I was just doing a search and sending PM's looking for a converter at this stall, but I need a NLU!! GLWS!!

whoops, forgot I put that in the add when I copied it. I technically bought it off the other forum as I recall. I'll edit that out. I'm gonna guess he's on both forums though.

The vig. converter came out of a bad slipping tranny right? So I would guess it needs to be opened and clean minimum.

It came out of a trans that had just started to slip, the fluid still looked and smelled ok. The trans was 3 weeks old and I just put to much to it. Basically the day I first felt it slip I pulled it apart.

To ease the mind of the potential buyers I will have the converter flushed out but my local shop, its a cheap enough process. Considering the 'lightness' of the failure this should be more than enough to clean the converter out. If I had a major bearing failure then actually cutting it would have to be done, but that didn't happen.

this post will prolly be deleted too, like my first one, but i am interested in this convertor. could you possibly call me tomorrow about this.
