So has anyone done their own vinyl top repair? Is it very dificult? Where do you get the material?
Part 2; What's an idea of what it costs to have it done (rough estimate)?

Reason I ask, I picked up a clean little Cutlass and that is all that is really wrong with it. I don't want to paint it, I know the factory didn't prep these cars for paint underneath.

me too

I found a few places online that sell the material around $100. I would like to see pics or a video so I can get brave and try it myself!

Funny, this was only a few weeks ago but I don't even have this Cutlass anymore. My Dad took it for a drive and had to have it.

Please post the links to the sites you found.

Taking the old material off isn't a big deal, trying not to break any of the clips that hold the trim around it onto the car is hard. I didn't have to when I took mine off but you may have to pull the quarter windows to put the new top in. On a 79 Regal my brother had, the top had to be peeled back to replace the rear window once. The Cutlass didn't need the glass pulled.
