I just removed Reds Double pumper and I ran his volt booster. No problem with the pump, just moving up. Will I need the volt booster with the Weldon 2015 or is that built into it? Larry:confused:

The Weldon supplies quite a bit of fuel at normal vehicle voltages. It is doubtful that you would require a volt booster for the pump alone. Make sure that you run at least a 10 Ga wire to the pump if your battery is in the trunk or 8 Ga if it is in the front. A dual relay + fuse / redundant harness should be used with the Weldon pumps. The volt booster will help the ignition system and injectors so perhaps you should leave it in?

PS. Buy yourself a bottle of Aspirin as the racket from those Weldon pumps is enough to drive most people insane. Rubber isolator mounts are a must. Weldon pumps must be gravity fed so they must be placed below the tank fuel level.

Thanks Jack- can you tell me what the need is for: "A dual relay + fuse / redundant harness should be used with the Weldon pumps. " Larry

The harness is to handle the high current demands of the Weldon pump and to provide extra protection against any electrical failures. There are a few companies who make these harnesses including Racetronix. Some use open style relays and crimp connectors. We use Delphi connectors, sealed relays and everything is heatshrunk and soldered.

Please email our sales dept. for pricing.
We will require some measurments as each vehicle has a unique layout.
We make the harnesses to fit without too much slack as excessive wire is messy and lossy.

Happy New Year!
