volt gauge

alright guys i want to install a volt gauge i just dont know where to run the wiring to hook up? any help thanx oh just wondering who here has installed ? is it good to have or dont really need it?

I put mine in the a pillar and ran the power wire to the window power and made my own ground on the pillar. It has helped me diagnose optima batteries going bad but other than that not real necessary.

just run it to a terminal at the fuse box that is on when the key is in "run".
it can tell you if your alternator isn't charging much better than an ammeter can.

Use the ing slot, only comes on when the key is in run. Not a real necessary gauge to me and the scanmaster reads volts anyway. You do have a scanmaster right ?
