Walbro 307 and 72s

Will be swapping in my 72s real soon, but right now I have a 307 pump. I do have a DP ready to go in, but for now due to the weather getting colder, I will only be swapping in the 72s. Question is, for driving around town and the boost cut back to say 10psi, will the pump feed these injectors for now? I'm talking just to get from point a to b on a nice day, no racing, nada.

Providing you keep it at low boost . you will be ok. But keep in mind if you get crazy with it by/by head gaskets. What chip are ya runnning with those injectors?? Just wondering!!

It's a street chip. No idea on the timing.

But yeah, I'd have the boost way down. I basically asked because if there happens to be a beautiful day this winter, I'm not above taking the car out for a cruise and if I'm in the middle of this swap and have the injectors in and not the pumps, I would be upset that I couldn't take it out. I figured if I babied the car it should be fine. I just wanted some reassurance.

I've run a single 307 to 10.90 with 50's. I would recomend it though. You should be ok to lo 11's.

Steve what kind of fuel pressures and boost did you run and chip timeing with that 10.90 pass?Sorry to get a little off topic Boston Boy.

More than anybody will believe. 52# static with 25 # boost. Red Armstrong 108 chip. I don't know what the timing was in the chip.


I meant to say in the previous post i wouldn't recomend it.

No problem Humberto, I was curious about it myself as I am looking for 10s also, but will have a lot more pump and injector to do it. Good to hear it has been done albeit not the recommended way to do so, lol.

Steve i would not recom it either thats why the 72s and double pump is next for me. Im to chicken to max out my current combo with a 10 sec pass.

Stop bein lazy and put the DP in too! You know your gonna want to get on it! Take you 1 more hour max to do it.
