Toby, I'm interested to get more details on what you've experienced. Keep in mind that the link posted does not account for head loss in the lines or any other restrictions (bends, filters, etc), the numbers they posted I believe are straight out of the pump. Would you mind sharing a log?
Paul
I had gasps of small times where the IDC was jumping erratically UP. This means the pump was making the injectors starve for fuel, the engine was wanting more, the pump couldnt pull more. This was an indication that Cal Hartline told me to look for, sure enough those gasps were there. My system is COMPLETELY open, so this is a situation where a link says that I am ok, but real world situations and my build make the system work that much more efficient, hence making the system ask for more fuel.
The way I looked at it, and a VERY fast TSO (the fastest) driver told me this. Get more fuel, make less restrictions EVERYWHERE, pull in lots of air, lots of voltage and you will have less worries than if you leave these things non addressed. Extra fuel can always be returned back to the tank. It can be done effectively with the proper non restricted 6an lines. I run two pumps ALL the time, and my pressure is able to be dropped to 30psi...again, no restrictions.
Many will say, well you heat up the fuel by running two pumps all the time. This would be indicated by KR, which I have none. I have hurt engines (head gaskets) by not having the correct fuel. I run two DW pumps with AZGN sender, run RT fuel lines, a voltage booster on the alt, I give her all I can in means of fuel. Since then, no worries.
Now, my exhaust crossover is my newest headache in getting it to seal, new chapter in Turbo Buick woes....lol
