Check out the rescues and shelters. There's tons of these dogs there-people are afraid of them and don't want to adopt so they get put down.

I've yet to see a female eating the leg of another dog as it just laid there barely hanging on to life. Got to see 2 males doing that....and it wasn't pretty. :(

I have a male Chocolate Lab/Pit Bull mix, rescue that we got as a pup ( fixed) , absolutely fantastic dog !!! Very smart, very protective but not aggressive at all. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I've had Pits for over 30 years males and females, i am specifically looking for a male since i am now living in an apartment.
I think i got a lead on a pup that is still with the mom. I'll keep you guys posted.

Just curious what diff does male vs female make for apartment living?

Does the lease allow dogs?

The dog is "for my daughter" so a male should be more protective of her.
Dealing with a heat cycle in an apartment is not pretty.
No problems with dogs in the house, private house you was here.

Looking at buying a Dog crate/cage and not sure about size, puppy now but he won't be a pup for ever and i don't want to buy 3 cages, how to pick size?

Check out my lazy mut
