I managed to get a low support puller.

But does anyone have a output shaft support fixture, a transmission holding fixture, spring compressors, pump alignment band, etc. etc.

pump alignment band

2 large radiator clamps connected together being large enough to go around pump. Works perfect.

Ya others have told me the same idea, or use the empty case and put the pump in upside down to align it.

On the 2004r it looks like you dont need a special clutch spring compressor, just two or three C clamps should work right?

Do I need a output shaft support fixture? anyone have ides how to make or got pictures?

and is it a problem to just have the tranny sitting in the side on the ground while assembling, or rest it in a crate?

Case holding and output shaft fixtures

Fixtures are a big help when building trannys. Here are some pics of some home made fixtures...
The case fixture has 2 bolts (left and right in the first photo) that line up with the cast bosses in the case that are intended holding points. The other 2 bolts are for leveling the case. There is a piece of pipe that can either be slid into an engine stand or clamped in a vise for holding the fixture.

The output shaft holding fixture bolts to transmission mount holes of the case and utilizes a drive shaft yoke to hold the output shaft. The piece of all thread lets you adjust the height of the output shaft in the case for assembly.
