Washing machine question

way, way off topic but I know there is a Turbo Regal / Washing machine master tech out there.

Okay, you know where the water drains out of the discharge hose to a pipe leading outside. Every time it drains, water and soap foam out of the pipe and on to the floor for a few seconds then the remaining water correctly discharges outside.

I've checked to make sure the PVC discharge tube leading outside is clear, and I bought a new discharge hose.

From what I've found on the web, the height of the drain tube is important in relation to atmospheric pressure

any suggestions would help dry up my utility room.

is everything sealed? no lose pipes? do you have it at an angle so that the water does flow down by itself or does it rely on water pressure in order to flow out? ( not sure if i explained my self right)

Water is usually pumped out of a washing machine, I saw some dies at an engineering presentation once. Just some slabs of aluminum, probably worth $10,000 each. But back on topic, most of the time the pipes are above waist level, I've seen em where they're not though and they worked ok. Do you have a vent line for the pipe? May be worth checking. Then again there's always the old standby; wrap her up good with duct tape.

Sounds like there is a drain trap in there that may be clogged a bit. Pour some drain cleaner in it and let sit overnight. Then flush with hot, hot water. It's definitely "burping".
