otto,i looked that"advertisement" over a few times while my mind attempted to tell my fingers to type in a response that it felt fit the mood.however in my better judgement i refrained from the reply that some may have took as offensive.i usually wont post prices unless they are directly related to the question.sometimes the answer is instead of getting frustrated by someone who doesnt understand the trans just get one outright and be done with it.some of us business owners are able to identify when this statement may be in order,after all we own businesses that cater to the public. i also try to let those out there know i am also willing to dispense the real deal info at the risk of only getting satisfaction only in the form one would get from helping others without expecting something in return.were al;l a family around here in a way and like a family can induce chastisement to other family members without threats of being banned or blacklisted.i personally dont take those post as a threat to my business at all .everyone will choose to spend their money at whatever supermarket they choose.i do find those four posts amusing and hope bruce or mark could elaborate on the sequence of events that put them into motion.maybe because our site has been a little slow they are posing the answers in hope some will ask questions in regards to those items and create a little more traffic around here for themselves and the other advertisers on the site?mark and bruce ,we are all on a level that is equal here so lets not get mad lets get EVEN.just kidding,.what i want to know is "whats going on out there?did someone pee in the water again?'

Otto, what am I missing that you see?

This was called to my attention, and after reading the posts, did not see pricing of parts?

I have seen posts just as "blatent" by other vendors in the tech areas, and no one seens to mind or care. My opinion is that PTE should be entitled to an "infomercial", as other vendors do similar in many cases.

Would like to think our board is very friendly and supportive to our vendors whose sponsorship helps keep this board alive and well.

Don't you think if you were a paying vendor, you would like the opportunity to tell the world about the merits of your products/service?

Nick, I personaly dont care,But i remember in the past there being a pissing match about this.And after seeing 4 posts in a row about a sale,i figure it would have been in the advertisers specials forum.
No big deal to me

Actually the post are in both forums. It is not a sale, rather to let everyone know that they are now available again. We have had many request for these parts and we just wanted to let everyone know they are in stock again.
Nick is right, Bruce has let these things go for numerous vendors. There is one item in particular that has been in the transmission forum for over a year, and no one has said a thing about that yet.
Others do it also. It is not meant to be an ad forum, but if someone has something that is connected to a forum and it isn't an ongoing thing, there is no problem.
Is it ok for some to put things up for sale in this forum, but not the owner of the board? Or is it just something that some want to complain about, just because they can?
