My 85 GN has the Wastegate Actuator with 2 nipples, and I was just curious what the difference is between the actuators with 1 or 2 nipples. Is it absoultely necessary to have the extra line on the 2 nipple version, I see it just goes to the vaccum block on the throttle body...what is its purpose?

The replacement adjustable waste gate actuator from Poston only has one vacuum line. Thats all it needs. The second vacuum line on the stock waste gate actuator is not needed. When installing an adjustable WGA you need to cap off the open nipple on the vacuum assembly on top of the throttle body. Ask questions before you insatall one-I lost an engine due to stupidity with an adj. WGA. Brad

What Im wondering is if I can just disconnect and plug the second line on my actuator. Its the stock actuator on my 85. I have a boost controller, so Im not looking for an adjustable wastegate. Im just wondering if the second line is affecting the performance of the boost controller and if I can disconnect it. I dont know what exactly that second line even does...
